Often when working for our clients based in the retail sector we have to carry out our work on-site in a live environment. This is most commonly the case when the work we are performing is a new build program, a refurbishment or part of on-going maintenance work. Frequently our on-site spraying services which are conducted in the retail sector do not consist of a one off job but instead are performed as a nationwide roll-out program.

When conducting on-site spraying services in the retail sector there is often more recoating work than is first expected. Our services can be utilised to spray the roller shutter doors, exterior entrances and the shop front fascias. In addition to this we also perform spraying work on a wide range of interior features including, point of sale units, refrigerators, stair wells and lift doors.

For numerous reasons much of the on-site spraying work we perform for our retail clients has to be performed out of hours. This is because shop owners prefer not to have to close, therefore losing business, whilst the spraying work is taking place. Hence providing our services in a live environment saves our clients both time and money. When working on these projects our architectural sprayers often begin work when the shop closes, working through the night in order to complete the project before the shop opens for business again the next day.

In some cases our sprayers can begin masking before the shop closes, especially for projects where some of the architectural metalwork is out of the way of customers and stock. Masking is an essential part of our work as it ensures that surrounding items are protected from overspray. Surprisingly enough, masking is often the most time consuming aspect of the jobs we undertake. Another way in which we protect surfaces, such as walls and floors, from overspray is by utilising plastic sheeting.

Once our team has completed the project there will demask the surrounding surfaces and leave the environment in a tidy condition, whilst the retail premises is aesthetically improved. When considering companies to implement on-site spraying services on your behalf it is imperative to select a company who are insured for on-site spraying work, who will offer good value for their services. However, equally important is selecting a company who conduct a thorough service, which involves the correct onsite preparation to ensure the best finish.
