What The Client Wanted
We have recently been contracted to work with one of the UK leaders’ in food production that supplies the likes of Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s with a range of chilled foods working on internal areas of the factory in the production, storage and preparation areas.
As a major supplier to the retail giants, the factory is subject to frequent visits which requires the factory to be in tip top shape. Any damages to panels in these areas of work can harbor bacteria that can lead to food poisoning, so it is essential to have these repaired and resprayed over with our special Food Safe paint.
On occasions we were required to carry out food safe panel repair works whilst they were still in live production so therefore we were required to wear full overalls, wellingtons, hairnets and hard hats to ensure no contamination was caused.
What We Did
Our first point of call was to get our operatives inducted on-site to gain an understanding of how the factory works.
In the first instance we conducted an inspection of each panel that we were required to work on and mark each damaged area it to ensure none were missed. This also meant taking into consideration the working environment and assessing whether or not areas would need to be tented off or covered up to avoid solvent exposure.
Once all the works were completed, our operatives walked through the site with the client for acceptance and all works were completed to satisfaction and signed off in plenty of time ready for the project to be handed over to the end client.
The Client’s Feedback
“One of the many Visits from CJ Coatings. Their guys always turn up onetime and crack straight on with the work, always leave my panels looking brand new. Thanks”
