What The Client Wanted
A major UK cladding Installations Company contacted us regarding some cladding repairs to silver panels at an Asda store in Chester. The new Asda store was still in the building stage and was nearing completion, just a few weeks away from client hand over.
The main issues to address were that a previous company had already visited the site and attempted to carry out the repairs, being silver panels it is very important that a competent company with only experienced operatives carry out these works, as silver shades are very difficult to match.
We had to win our customers trust, proving that not only could we complete in time for project completion, but that the quality of our works would be of a high standard, this was due to a large portion of the panel repair works being on the front customer facing elevation.
What We Did
Our first objective was to offer a repair sample, this was to show not only the cladding company but the main contractor the standard of our work, once fully confident with our services, all parties excepted the quality of the samples and we commenced works.
In the first instance we addressed the previous repairs that were clearly noticeable due to contractors using the wrong shade of silver, using a sample retrieved from the site, our in-house paint technicians were able to formulate a good match that covered the inconsistent patches of silver.
We also carried out repairs to the composite panels, top hats and flashings that are generally associated with these new build projects, these included dents, scratches, removal of concrete mortar and tape residue.
Once the all works were completed our operatives walked the site with the client for acceptance and all works were completed to satisfaction and signed off in plenty of time ready for the project to be handed over to the end client.
The Client’s Feedback
“CJ Coatings Nationwide did a great job in turning the situation around on site for us, we almost lost our confidence in regards to getting the repairs done to a standard that we would expect, they came to site and showed not only a great ability, but confidence in performing their trade. We only wish that we had known about them in the first instance, which would have saved us a lot of time and worry. Great job, great guys and now our first choice when we need them.”
