What The Client Wanted
A London Underground contractor approached us, as a WHSmith store in one of the stations they were in charge of required the doors and roller shutters recoating. They chose us because our operatives carry LUCAS (London Underground Combined Access System) cards, this is essential because with out this approval you are not allowed on the underground.
What We Did
As this job was on the London Underground in a busy tube station this work had to be carried out ‘out of hours’ during the tube station closed times between 1am – 4am. With this being a time sensitive job, we had to place the right team on the job that could swiftly and effectively mask off all surrounding areas, prepare & spray that nights section(s), de-masking and clearing there gear away in the time frame was imperative.
Exposure to solvents and travelling overspray is ever present when spraying, which is why on this project it was our responsibility to prevent this happening. Fitting a tenting system that surrounded the entire working area of which an air filter was attached to, this then filtered all the solvents outside and the tent protected against the overspray.
Once all safety precautions had been put in place we carried out the works to the highest standard which left a very pleased client.
The Client’s Feedback
“Fantastic work carried out, self sustaining in supplying all access and filtration systems.”
